She’s as American as fireworks on the Fourth. But don’t let her sunny, golden color fool you. While our New Sweden Blonde gets her name from her amber hues, her flavor hints of the refreshing sparkling “dinner” ales of Germany – especially Kölsch (Cologne). This ale’s malt flavors are naturally sweet, but notes of light bread, toast, wheat, biscuit, and even rye add a surprising twist. True to character, she finishes with a slightly sweet malty tone.

  • Our New Sweden Blonde Ale is not for the spicy fare – otherwise her flavors will be completely lost. Best to partner her with lighter Italian dishes. Middle Eastern dishes like falafel and hummus, as well as green salads, are all great choices, too. As for seafood, whitefish and lightly flavored sushi pair well.
