Origins

New Sweden, Blonde Shandy is a fun, refreshing variation of our signature Blonde Ale. Shadies have been around since before the 19th century. On a hot summer day, one could find pubs across Europe and America serving these delicious blends of blonde ale and lemonade to make a remarkable refreshing beer.

The name pays homage to a time when our area was called New Sweden and attracted over a million immigrants to the new world. We designed our Blonde Ale to serve as a gateway craft beer to attract the millions of non-craft drinkers to explore the new world of microbrewing.
