YOUNG BORIS

Origins
As the 10th beer in our Brewer’s Select series, Young Boris arrives at a momentous time—Third State Brewing’s 10th anniversary. Brewed as a Red Rye American Ale, this beer reflects the spirit of exploration that’s driven us from day one. While it shares the same rye character as Boris the Great, Young Boris delivers a softer, more easy-drinking profile with a bright, spiced malt body. We named it not just for its connection to the original recipe, but to honor Bill—the founding brewer who helped launch Third State and inspired both beers. With Young Boris, we raise a glass to the decade behind us, and to the people who got us here.
Food Pairings
Vibrant yet balanced, Young Boris plays well with savory fare that doesn’t overpower its nuanced rye notes. It’s ideal alongside grilled poultry, tangy BBQ, or herbed cheeses. For dessert, lean into warm, spiced dishes that echo its malt character.
